Tickets sold out last year to this fun social event and fundraiser. $25 gets you a burger and a beer/beverage and chances to buy and win prizes, silent auction items and contribute to Parent Advisory Council initiatives for A.R. Lord Elementary.

Each year, A.R. Lord families and the local community help support our school and kids through generous donations and fundraising. A full set of 20 VEX Robot kits was purchased two years ago by the Parent Advisory Council for use in classrooms. The donation of these state of the art computer driven robots continues to enhance the school and educational experience for our students. Ms. O'Neill's class recently used these kits with the support of STEM students from John Oliver Secondary school. The program was coordinated by Teacher John Silver and included building, computer coding and controlling robots in a fun setting.
This unit teaches A.R. Lord kids about critical thinking, experimenting, problem solving and cause and effect with modern tools. The high school students also had a chance to practice their planning and mentorship skills and pass on their valuable knowledge and experience.
