Good morning everyone; to all the amazing teachers and supporting staff and to our wonderful principal Ms Susie Car; to all our AR Lord Elementary students, and to our special guests, their families and friends. A very special good morning wish to our incredible group of Grade Seven students as you are moving on towards the next step in your exciting journey of life!
This week, we wish a fond farewell to Utkarsh, Logan, Wyatt, Max, Caleb, Daisy, Megan, Christian, Juddy, Billy and Wilson. We know you will indeed, FARE WELL. Each one of you is growing as an amazing person with full potential to achieve your dreams, to contribute to this incredible world, to be everything you want to be. We have delighted in watching you grow during your time here. Some of you have known each other since before preschool, others have joined the journey here at varying points between kindergarten through grade seven. No matter how long you have been together, you have been a wonderful and strong team. Each one of you is a delightful, unique and interesting individual. Together, you are an amazing group of kids. You have grown together through all sorts of situations. Some may have seemed difficult, but you figured out how to make things better. Others were filled with great discussions, sharing thoughts, lots and lots of learning, and plenty of fun too! All under the guidance of your wonderful teachers through the years, Ms Young, Ms Bains, Ms Watson, Ms Phongmany, Ms Wise, Ms Skucas, Ms Young-Eng, Ms McCandless, Ms Burke, and of course, the incomparable Ms O’Neill! Our school community is strong and caring, in large part, because of all of you and your families. You are wonderful kids, together as your group, and with all the other students here. Great role models and fun big buddies. You epitomize our school values: Create Peace | Be Kind | Be Safe | Be Respectful. Our wishes for you as you continue your journey and move on to high school: Continue your strong friendships and embrace new ones. Don’t be afraid to fail, because, as I quote: ”Without failure, we’d be less capable of compassion, empathy, kindness, and great achievement; we would be less likely to reach for the moon and the stars.” Don’t be afraid to ask questions, or to learn and explore new things. Expand your horizons with positive influences through knowledge and activities. And keep in your hearts our school values, they will fare you and your peers well, forever. Remember, you have those who love and care for you, your family and friends. Be strong and adventurous as you continue your journey in life, but know they will always there, for you to confide in, to share with, to comfort you and encourage you. As you move forward in your exciting adventure of life, please know, you are the future, and because of you, the future looks good. Please join us in congratulating our Grade 7 graduating class!
